Education, social events, volunteering, rescue support, and friendships centered around our dogs.
DVWC was incorporated in 1972 and is an American Kennel Club recognized breed club and a member club of the Weimaraner Club of America.
Our objectives are simple: advance the breed, promote responsible ownership, host events open to members and non-members, share our passion, uphold good sportsmanship — and have fun doing it.
Our club & history
The Weimaraner dates to the early 19th century in Germany. The breed was recognized by the AKC in 1942, with the first breed standard accepted in 1943.
DVWC hosts field, show, training, educational, and social events throughout the year.
